Today's suffering included up tempo 800s. It was hard. I'm definitely not in the shape I was 12 days ago when I ran a 2:15 800m. But it was good to get the spikes on again. Much less stress on the ankle as compared with that mile I ran last time out in old trainers.

These 800s are a bitch but good for me at this point. 3 full weeks before the Bluegrass Games, but with the upcoming week of hosting and directing a guitar festival, training time will be limited. I'll try to keep every other day. Wanted to do weights tonight but the unpredictable Sewanee Fowler Center closed early tonight.... of course they'd never update their spring hours on any website.
