Perfect weather in Sewanee for some long sprint suffering. It actually felt hot at times in the direct sun when the wind died down, but it was only in the mid 60ºs today. I'm going to really miss this weather. Did the hard stuff today. This combines over distance with tempo. Always pushes heart rate to the max.
Hoka trainers on
stretches, drills, 2 x 100m, 50m
'split 700' - 500m - 79.09 (62.31, 16.78) / 90 sec rest / 200m - 31.68
'split 500' - 300m - 43.06 / 90 sec rest / 200m - 30.07
2 x 150m - 19.56, 19.26
It was hard, and one of the best of it's kind in total time. A bit faster than one I did in June '20, comparable to and slightly faster than a similar workout I did in '17 right before Korea. I don't do this workout very often, and I tacked on a few hard 150s. Hope I'm not over training.
Next track workout is Tues and it's supposed to be very warm.
138.2 lbs after workout.
