brief event run workout

At MTSU today, quite a difference from Sewanee... mid 80ºs and very humid.   MTSU's elite women were out there.   As I started my warmup, I noticed a bit of soreness from yesterday's workout.  Didn't want to do too much today.
Hoka trainers on 
400m warmup, stretches, drills 
50m strider 
100m strider on the turn 
Puma spikes on 
2 x 200m at 400m race pace - 26.15, 26.34
It was just a rehearsal... running the first 200m from a 3 pt stance at 400m pace from the 400m start, timed with a stop watch.  Used lanes 7, then 6.  Times were just about right. 

Will need to take the day off tomorrow and relax and stretch.  143.7 after workout.  Know my body and know I still could be 2 lbs lighter.  Not quite fat free yet. 

Birmingham meet shows 7 people signed up for the 400m, I'm 4th seed so will probably get lane 3 or 6.
