split tempo and speed

Nearly 70º and strong gusty winds at the Dean Hayes track this morning.   Wanted to do something a bit different today, keeping the speed up a tad.  However, the wind up the back stretch was very hindering of speed.
400m warmup, stretches, drills 
Saucony Spikes on 
500m, rest 2:15, 200m - 80, 29  
6 min rest 
500m, rest 2:15, 200m - 85, 31 
2 x 150m - 19, 20
Wanted the 500s at 80 or less, but the wind and the first was really tiring, especially after yesterday's resistance.  The 200s were run into the wind.  After a rest, the 150s felt surprisingly strong and I ran them with a tail wind.

Probably didn't eat enough yesterday, very light ... 140.2 lbs after workout.
